You’ll say I’m reading too much into this but this is the only statue among the dozens at the local store that has a booklet attached to it. I don’t think the booklet was placed where it was by accident. There were no other nudes at the store.

I knew that was today. I can’t even imagine how unbearably difficult that was. Or how difficult this all is. And as soon as I wrote that, I thought it was an insensitive thing to say because you probably feel nothing like yourself, and your saying something funny doesn’t mean that suddenly everything is ok or anywhere near it. I miss you so, and my words are all wrong. But whether you’re writing about a naked statue or your pain, I want to read it. Please know that I want to hear anything that you need to say, my dear, dear friend.

The female statues are not only all dressed but their “clothes” are also painted all kinds of very weird colors. I should have made photos of them, too.
