We were talking a walk and met over a dozen honking cars. What’s happening? Has a war started? Or have the Cardinals won something at the sport they play which I’m guessing is baseball?
Or is something else going on?

Maybe it had something to do with the large “Honk if you love Jesus!” signs the two of you were holding up.

The St Louis Cardinals have won at least one World Series game, I think. The World Series is indeed the annual seven-game major league baseball championship. They are playing the Boston Red Sox, IIRC. I am not a sports fan, but I usually do learn who is playing in the World Series before it is over. Similarly for the Superbowl, I typically learn who is palying, although not always.
