I believe they are pseudo-feminists. Bodily integrity is THE central issue of feminism. How can we expect others not to impose their morality on our bodies if we impose ours on their bodies?
Yep, very loud pseudofeminists that don’t actually give a damn about the sex workers they’re pretending to protect from abuse. Making it illegal to hire hookers chases the law-abiding clients away, which means the prostitutes will need to make a living by interacting exclusively with non-law-abiding people, which are a far more dangerous bunch. This is not about protecting the vulnerable, this is about a bunch of petty-minded authoritarians cloaking their unhealthy need to dictate other people’s consensual sexual behaviour in for-your-own good rhetoric. I’ll bet dollars to donuts nobody involved asked the sex workers for whose protection this is apparently being done how they feel about the proposal.

– EXACTLY! This is an example of trying to force one’s own definition of happiness onto other people.

Surprising, there seem to be a lot of them out here. Unfortunately some get to dictate policy. 😦

Feminists don’t dictate any policy anywhere. Especially not in France.

Really, you know all the policy makers personally and that they don’t identify as feminist?
