OK, the table is almost ready, my friends. Here it is:
I will be adding a couple more things but mostly this is it. We also have a separate table with beverages. The only beverage on the table is the traditional Russian kisel with gooseberries.
The goal was to make the table colorful and not boring and I think that goal was achieved.
This is the biggest party I have ever thrown. Well, it is actually the only party I have ever thrown, so we’ll see how it goes.

Evelina’s back. Did you miss me? 😉 I’ve been working on a large project and kicked myself off the internet for a while and then I went on a long and lovely vacation. But I’m back and back to reading your blog avidly. So I just wanted to say hello! And the table looks lovely!!!

Looks beautiful. What are those grey half circles in the middle of the table near the far away watermelon?

Weird how one person downvotes food.

I didn’t downvote the post, but I downvoted your noticing that someone else did. (that’s the fun of up- and down- voting, which colored stars cannot replicate).

I take that as you downvoting my need to eat, which I think is really mean-spirited of you.

And so the downvoting wars began. . .
It is weird, indeed, how there is always one person who hates the most innocuous posts in the world. Like this post with the photo pf the food, or the post in honor of my grandfather, the WWII veteran. I’m starting to develop an image of this weird blog reader who hates food, furniture, grandpas and WWII veterans.
Weird blog reader who has these characteristics: make yourself known, we are all very curious about you.

Actually, what are the dishes you decided on (besides the crudites, the kissel and the watermelon)?
