ISIS bans cigarettes and beheads people who smoke. Russian terrorists in Donbass persecute smoking women because they are convinced that smoking causes women to give birth to gay babies. Mind you, it isn’t drinking, drugs, sushi or sunshine that bugs them. It’s smoking.
There is definitely something curious going on with modern terrorists and smoking.
If I hadn’t developed asthma this would have inspired me to go smoke some shisha just to spite them.

It’s the same compulsive need to kill you to protect you from yourself. It’s C.S. Lewis’s tyrant:

The other very strong correlation is beef. There is an enormous anger harbored by would be tyrants at the very idea of the peasant eating steak.

Well, cigarettes are cylinders one places in one’s mouth for the sake of pleasure, and both groups you’ve mentioned have serious issues with sexual pleasure.

I’m sure that sharia enforcers have nothing on the American Midwestern no-smoking fanatics. We should send them to battle ISIS because those people are scary.
