   I was wondering when you would cross paths with Yves. The basic premises of N.C. are there are no Russian troops in the Ukraine but only patriotic locals, the current Ukrainian government is a gang of neo Nazis bought and paid for by the U.S. government and the current Russian problems are caused by predatory American capitalists who rushed in after the collapse of communism. Yves is a frequent guest on that bastion of impartiality, RT news. On December 22, 2014 she wrote:

   “Yves here. The triumphalism among Western commentators as the ruble plunged last week is more than a little cringe-making. We’re not yet in Two Minute Hate territory yet, but this feels like a warmup. Robert Parry provides an insanity check:

   Official Washington’s “group think” on the Ukraine crisis now has a totalitarian feel to it as “everyone who matters” joins in the ritualistic stoning of Russian President Putin and takes joy in Russia’s economic pain, with liberal economist Paul Krugman the latest to hoist a rock…”

   And saving the best for last, N. C.s slant: Putin is behaving badly because he is actually (gasp!) an autistic. This is under the category of AUTISM MADE ME DO IT – it being rape, murder etc.

      • Yes, I’ve seen this picked up on every dissident Russian blog in existence. People in my part of the world are unsophisticated and were referring to autism as “a psychiatric disorder.”

      • At this point, everybody who feels like believing this will do so. Evidence can’t persuade them because they don’t live in a fact-based reality.
