Yes, that’s totally what we need. Teenagers driving enormous trucks. Well, it seems like in this country it doesn’t bother anybody to have epileptics and depressives on the road, so why not.

Oh goody.
Most 18 year olds don’t drive well let alone well enough to qualify for a commercial driver’s license.
They let diabetics drive. They let people with heart disease drive.
They let people with severe anger management problems drive.
And yet, driving is far more regulated than gun ownership and usage.
The let people with severe anger management problems have guns.
They even let people with severe anger problems march around in public carrying weapons as part of a “demonstration” if they’re white

I’m still a nervous, fussy drivers, and trucks freak me out. And that’s before trucks are driven by texting, overexcitable, hormonal 18-year-olds. That’s a total nightmare to me.

I don’t know about other states, but here in California getting a Class C drivers license to be able to work as a trucker is no stroll in the park.

Good! But what if regulations get relaxed because of the great shortage of trucker drivers?

Teenagers require A LOT more sleep than adults. So our highways filled with sleep-deprived teenage truckers is not a good idea.
