I took this quiz to determine which presidential candidate best represents my views and got the deeply unsurprising answer that it’s Joe Biden.
The one who’s least like me is Rick Perry.
I scored 91% with Bush, 77% with Carly Fiorina, 73% with Biden, and 55% with Hillary (ugh!). The only candidates with less than 50% agreement were Sanders and O’Malley.
Unfortunately, the Dems are right on some issues and the Repubs on others…but that’s always the case in a rigid two-party system.

I was Joe Biden on 96%. It’s disappointing to be so unoriginal. 🙂

I was 97% Sanders.

Well, I was 94% Sanders, so it’s almost the same thing. But there wasn’t a single question on Putin on the quiz.

Putin for US president? 🙂

Don’t even say this as a joke. You made my blood run cold for a moment.

Why are you surprised, you mentioned him first? Was it a mistake?

No, I meant why weren’t we asked what our presidential candidate should do about Putin.
Sanders is notoriously clueless on the issue.

Well, then Putin will only be president of Alaska… With Palin as the governor.

99% Sanders, 0% Cruz. #2 for me was HRC, #3 was Biden.

I was 94% Sanders, 92% Biden, 88% Clinton. The least was Ted Cruz for me: 3%. I was happy to learn that I had almost nothing in common with him. I was surprised that I had 11% agreement with Scott Walker. I was thinking it would be nothing. 😉

Yes, I also had a 15% agreement with Walker. Was there an occasion when he once said something reasonable or something like that?

Sanders (97%)>Clinton (92%)>Biden(87%)>O’Malley (83%). Santorum’s at the bottom with 0%.
I should forward this quiz to some of the undecided voters who very eagerly want me to pick candidates this early in the game.

By God, we are a boring bunch. What, not a single Trump or Huckabee supporter on the entire blog?

Because Trump isn’t really a Republican, and Huckabee is a lunatic. So “low energy” Jeb is going to have to carry the banner to victory (sigh)…

Yes, he is a little sleepy.

:p Extreme anti immigrant xenophobes (Trump) and religious fanatics (Huckabee) find nothing on this blog worth commenting on or trolling for.
It’s not that Trilogy is moderate in any way, he just doesn’t exude the in-your-faceness of a Trump or a Huckabee.

This was fun! I am 93% with both Hilary and Bernie, 90% with Biden, 79% with O’Malley (I have no idea who he is). Then 43% with Chris Christie (apparently we agree on enviromental issues?). With most republicans I have “no major issues” of overlap, but sadly 11-12% overlap even with Santorum or Cruz, and 20% with that piece of $hit Walker. This disturbs me. I have to go burn my bra and hug some trees.

Walker would approve of the carbon emissions from the burning, and he probably likes forests because of deer hunters. So your radical ploy might just bump you up to 25% overlap.

Let’s make Walker eat our bras instead. I’m sure he will dig it. The guy’s got a total perv look.

My results are fairly weird (again, I’m a social liberal and fiscal moderate and I have a lot of libertarian leanings though I’m not a libertarian)
Top five for me
Huckabee 80 %
Sanders 74 %
Paul 72 %
Cruz 71 %
Biden 71 %
Bottom
Jindal 58
4-3 Bush, O’Malley (who?) 55
Graham (who?) 52
Kasich (who?) 43
One thing that distorts the picture for me is that I try to keep my personal opinions divorced from policy. I’m completely pro-choice but I don’t think private insurers should have to cover abortion (except for health of mother reasons). But then I’m also in favor single payer healthcare so private insurance is less of an issue….
I’m completely pro same-sex marriage but I support the bakers’ right to refuse to make cakes for them (while thinking they’re pathetic idiots).
I was very disappointed that so little space was given to education (though I’m generally in favor of local involvement and control of education).

This is even stranger than the Canadian party quiz …
I haven’t the slightest clue why the quiz would think I’d be greatly in favour of the Queen of Corporate Sackings, but when I look at the other suggestions, I’m quite happy not to be voting in American elections.
Besides, if Fiorina starts her next M&A cycle with acquiring neighbouring countries, there’s no bleedin’ way I can afford to buy her off. 🙂

85% Sanders, 84% Clinton, 77% Biden, and 63% Paul. After that it’s a big drop to all the others. Dunno why Paul is so far ahead of the other republicans, I thought they had pretty similar views. Happily Trump came in last.
