It’s cold, windy, foggy, the sky is overcast, and there’s a drizzling rain.

“What a beautiful day,” a neighbor says.

“Yes,” I respond, beaming. “This is the best weather ever.”

“She was being sarcastic,” N whispers as the neighbor walks away.

Are you anticipating more trick-or-treaters later today, since most Illinois towns have scheduled today for their Hollowe’en activity?

I still have candy, so I could continue. But we’ll see if we want to stay home instead of going for a walk to check out the neighbors’ decorations. There are people across the road who dedicated their whole front room to moving, flashing human-sized replicas of witches and skeletons.

This is one of my favorite kinds of weather! Actually, “nature doesn’t have bad weather”, but this is something I like greatly!

After spending 6 months with this intolerable heat, I beg to differ! 🙂

I traveled to Anaheim recently, and the weather was absolutely unbearable, 100 degrees for three days a row in October, it was apparently a record-breaker.
After that, Vancouver’s beautiful chilly rain and cloud cover and gorgeous red and orange and yellow leaves seemed extra special to me.
