On November 3 the Woodrow Wilson
International Center for Scholars, a think tank that receives U.S. government funding, will bestow the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporative Citizenship to Petr Aven, the chairman of the board of directors of Russia’s largest commercial bank, Alfa-Bank.
For those who don’t know, Aven is a robber baron, Putin’s buddy, one of the most criminal of Russia’s oligarchs, and Alfa-Bank is a criminal organization. What is this “Center for Scholars” that is handing out awards to gangsters of this caliber?
For shame!
One of my very few sources in American academia informs me that it is motivated purely by monetary greed on the part of the Woodrow Wilson Center.

That’s what I thought. This is very shameful.
