Rachel Maddow is talented. She drew Bernie Sanders out in a way that makes him sound relatable, warm, non-dogmatic and non-grumpy. Bernie is doing fantastic at the forum.
O’Malley, on the other hand, came out as irascible and mean with his incessant attacks on Sanders. He’s angling for the spot as Hillary’s veep with desperation. I hope he doesn’t get it.
Maybe O’Malley will end up being Sanders’ veep. 🙂
(And no, I’m not watching.)

This would be like the makings of a joke. An Irishman and a Jew walk into a bar. . .

Shouldn’t the joke start: An Irishman walks past a bar…

I found it incredibly odd O’Malley didn’t go after Hillary. It seemed like he was going for the “You can’t have a socialist or the Republican Party’s #1 flack magnet for the last two decades as President, so it’s just me, the inspiration for Gil Carcetti” but he forgot to triangulate.
My first impression of him was “low rent Bill Clinton”.

He wants Hillary to employ him so he’s doing her dirty work.

Didn’t know there was something going on.
For the best, though. I can’t stand Maddow.

I’m not a huge fan either but she did a great job today. Bernie really opened up.

You and I actually agree on something.
Actually, I did like Maddow’s persona (if not her political views) when she first appeared on the ill-fated MSNBC Tucker Carlson show in 2005, and stated her views calmly and seriously, without all the smirking and hand waving that she now displays on her own show.

God, I hate WordPress! My comment was directed to Stringer Bell.

Yes, the over exuberant persona she projects on her show is off-putting to me, as well. I can never follow what she says because there’s too much noise and movement.

I don’t think anybody’s impression of Hillary Clinton changed with this forum.
Stringer: At least it wasn’t Olbermann, the most punchable MSNBC host ever. Maddow hosted a love-in basically.

I don’t think Bernie would have agreed to Olbermann. He wants a serious campaign and serious speaking opportunities.

Olbermann couldn’t get along with anybody — he’s been fired from at least three different networks!
