Last week’s terrorists in France achieved the goals that Putin’s terrorists in that same France bungled less than a year ago. But yeah, Putin is totally going to help fight ISIS. Makes every sense.
The belief that Putin can be recruited to do the West’s dirty work in Syria is sheer consumerism. A consumerist’s credo is that every problem has a remedy that can be purchased at a store. Western consumers are bored with ISIS because it is distracting them from their navel-gazing and want to buy a solution.
