Priceless

Bill O’Reilly is interviewing Trump and actually sounding like the voice of reason. This goes to show that no matter how crazy one is, there is always somebody even more crazy.

  1. You occasionally watch Fox, Clarissa? I’m delighted to hear me — maybe that’ll wash away some of the garbage that you hear from PBS. πŸ™‚

    1. I actually never watch PBS. πŸ™‚

I’ve been watching a lot of Fox News this week because MSNBC has covered nothing but Trump for the past 3 days and I can’t take any more Trump. Yes, he sucks, but I know that already. On Fox, there were other news covered, at least.

  2. @ Dreidel: In what world is PBS extremist? I see how MSNBC seems extreme to conservatives. As liberal as I am, I find most of MSNBC unwatchable– although I do like Rachel Maddow.

But PBS is nothing like MSNBC or Fox. It’s quiet (literally. I feel like the reporters whisper), thoughtful, even-handed, completely sober TV. I find it strange that anyone would compare PBS to Fox.

      • I agree. The difference between MSNBC and Fox News is trivial. I like flipping between them because that’s very entertaining.

Maybe I should check out PBS which I don’t think I have seen even once.

      1. Unlike CNN or Fox or MSNBC, PBS doesn’t have constant news so it’s easy to miss. But they have a Sunday morning news show and sometimes will have specials where they analyze the Presidential debates etc. etc. It is by far the least sensational reporting in the American media (probably because it’s nonprofit.)

        1. The channel doesn’t even care to occupy the same space as other news networks. I’m surprised that anyone would compare it to Fox or MSNBC, but then it’s Dreidel, so nevermind.

PBS is excellent, not a talking heads screech-fest that TV news has now become. ‘Frontline’ is excellent, so is ‘Nova’ (their science show), and many others.

When I typed that late last night, I was quite sleepy and got PBS confused with NPR (which is liberal but not extreme, like say, MSNBC). I was teasing Clarissa’s liberal views gently. (She’s smart enough to tell when I do that, and has enough of a sense of humor not to mind.)

I actually watch PBS frequently for its entertaining non-political content, and its Friday night political talk show “The John McLaughlin Hour.”
