Why is the Dem Debate Schedule So Stupid?

The idea that the DNC rigged the debate schedule to favor Hillary is idiotic. Debate appearances help Hillary and hurt Sanders. After all of her debates with Obama, she is a seasoned debater. She looks charming, poised, in control and knowledgeable during the debates, and her approval ratings are always strengthened afterwards.

Bernie looks grumpy, irritable and bored with everything that is not his stump speech. Debates have not been good for him. This obviously doesn’t mean that the DNC is manipulating the schedule to benefit him. From all I know about the inner workings of the DNC, I have to conclude that it’s a very disorganized, chaotic organization filled with inept, stupid people. And today’s scandal with Bernie’s campaign improperly accessing information is about the same thing: lack of basic competence at the DNC. And the scandal will strengthen Bernie’s fading campaign.

I actually would prefer to believe that the DNC is capable of plotting but, from everything I hear, they are dunces, pure and simple.

  1. From all I know about the inner workings of the DNC, I have to conclude that it’s a very disorganized, chaotic organization filled with inept, stupid people.

    I think it was Will Rogers who said: “I belong to no organized political party. I am a Democrat.”

  2. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is very incompetent at being DNC chair. When was the last time the chair was competent? The party should be harnessing the excitement of a year in which there are no incumbents running for office. Voter excitement = voter engagement = voter turnout. Instead, we’re getting the “Do you want to relive the 1990s show?” in response to “Samuel Huntingdon threat down”. Despite the clown show, the Democrats keep losing seats in Congress. I actually don’t like the DNC much which is why I refuse to contribute to national campaigns. I don’t identify as a Democrat because the party consistently falls down on issues I care about.

    The Republicans, batshit as they are, have party and message discipline. You’d never see someone go outside the platform as much as Lieberman or a Schuler. They are far more effective as an opposition party than the Democrats ever were.

    1. I so agree!! The party has a deeply inept leadership and they are pissing away the amazing opportunities offered by this campaign. And you are right, this is precisely why Congress slipped away and one governorship after another goes over to the other side.

    It may be idiotic, but it’s true. Hillary and her team originally wanted as few debates as possible, believing that her debate performance was a big factor in losing the 2008 nomination.

    So the DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a total Hillary sycophant, limited the total debates to six despite strenuous objection from the Sanders and O’Malley teams. Then Wasserman Schultz invented the ridiculous new rule that “anyone” (read “Sanders and O’Malley”) who engaged in any separate debate-like activities would be barred from the six official debates, and deliberately hid most of the debates away on weekends.

    Yeah, the Democrats are dunces, but Wasserman Schultz actually pulled this off in deference to Hillary.
