Putin and Killings of Journalists

Now Trump is defending the love of his life Putin from charges of killing journalists.

The funny thing is that I have no idea which journalists Putin is supposed to have had killed either. I literally live inside the Russian news cycle and know an enormous lot about Putin’s crimes. The vicious little creep has done a lot of horrible things and keeps doing more of them every day. But I can’t think of any reporters Putin could have murdered. Moreover, I don’t know why he’d want to do that. The way the Russian media space is set up makes journalists extremely innocuous. Why would Putin want to waste energy on killing them?

This is all very mystifying. Everybody knows how much I detest Putin but can we discuss his real crimes instead of these imaginary charges? It doesn’t help to throw around accusations that nobody can substantiate.

Putin’s Russia, Obama’s America, Khamenei’s Iran and al-Abadi’s Iraq seem to be getting along very well together in current military operations to take back Ramadi.

This Russian war room is in communication with US military headquarters in the Iraqi capital. It is from the Russian war room that the top commanders of the pro-Iranian militias send their orders. The most prominent is Abu Mahadi al-Muhandis, who heads the largest Iraqi Shiite militia known as the Popular Mobilization Committee.

Noting another first, our military sources disclose that Iranian officers liaise between the Americans and Russians on the front against ISIS.

  Once again I’m beginning to worry that Ukraine will be sold out under the pretext of a “crucial” anti-terrorist alliance with Russia.

A rather large number of journalists have been murdered in Russia under Putin. Many of these killings seem to have some political connection to Putin. The most famous was of course Anna Politovskaya.

  I haven’t heard even the most anti-Putin people accuse him of killing Politkovskaya . That would be a very bizarre thing for him to do given that she has very low credibility in Russia. Why would he care?

        Killed in Russia and killed by Putin are two entirely different things. Or shall we declare Obama the murderer of every person killed in the US during his mandate?

        What I don’t understand is why it’s so hard to get anybody to acknowledge Putin’s actual and obvious crimes – the annexation of the Crimea, the war in Ukraine, the murders of Litvinenko and Magnitsky, etc – yet so easy to get them to accept this meme about journalists that is based, at best, on some vague rumors.
        
        By God, the fellow admitted to preparing to deploy nuclear weapons in 2013. And we are holding some vague stories about some reporter against him? Putin was trying to start a nuclear war! By his own admission! Hello!

        Well, you can say that the average life span of a journalist in Putin’s Russia seems to have dropped more than that of the average comrade.
