Another day, another Uber. Today’s driver tells me that it’s going to snow hard today. My weather app disagrees but the driver is adamant. He’s lived here his entire life and knows the signs of approaching snow.

After the driver put several of his friends on the loudspeaker to tell me it will snow, I had to believe them.

So it’s a war of apps today, Uber vs Weatherbug.

Have you stopped driving? Why so many Ubers? (Just being nosy.)

I have a health condition that both prevents me from driving and obligates me to be at the hospital 1 hour away several times a week. And a cab would cost a fortune. Uber is the cheapest option, and I’m really happy it’s available in the region.

The National Weather Service says it may snow in your area (I’m not being creepy, I promise). Not a lot, but it’s something.

Just out of curiosity, did it end up snowing?

Yes! We’ve had a noticeable amount of snow.

The app finally conceded that there might be a small probability of snow after it had been snowing for 2 hours, so yes, definitely.
