What say you, people? How is the debate going? Don’t leave me hanging, give me your impressions! I can’t be there right now, but I need to know what’s happening.

Very boring debate so far. Nobody’s fired up or even raising his/her voice.

Wait a minute — Bernie’s trying (not very hard) to cast shade on Hillary for Wall Street.

I’m glad I’m not missing anything important, then. What kind of a meek debate is it, anyway?

        “What latest sexist statement??”

Here’s an exact quote from the Hillary-Albright rally several days ago:

“There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other” — meaning women who dare to vote for a non-woman candidate like Bernie.

Shallow notes: Men can pretty much wear the same suit every day. Like Bernie is with his new haircut. Hillary’s makeup and wardrobe people fell down. Her foundation is too pale(which makes her looks peaked) and that shade of yellow does not work with her face and hair (but it would work on Gwen Ifill).

Hillary’s wardrobe has been great but it’s hard to keep to the same standard all the time!

Good point by Bernie calling out Republican “small government” hypocrisy on abortion — but at this point he still needs to go after Hillary, not the Repubs.

Bernie: schools and jobs not drugs.

This “How are you better than Obama on race” is leading. HRC is not taking the bait. Sanders: Wall Street hit minorities disproportionately. He goes to economic issues. He actually says race relations will be better under him

Hillary is losing the argument about whether it’s appropriate for a Democrat to criticize a Democratic President — but she may be successfully appealing to the specific target vote that she needs to win in South Carolina and beyond.

Exactly. Looks very obvious and fake but it’ll work.

This from a candidate who in 2008 circulated pictures of Obama in Indonesian attire (I think) wearing some sort of a turban, insinuating he was secretly a muslim.

It will work because his words are making a very bad impression. Especially since the only reason he attacks Obama is to avoid answering the crucial question of how he plans to achieve his goals in the face of the recalcitrant congress.

Bernie would never be racist or sexist on purpose. He’s too good a person for that. But as many people of his generation he doesn’t stop to think how his words sound from the other side. And it might be too late for him to learn.

Those tweets are a prime example of “dude from a different generation isn’t thinking how his words might be perceived from the other side.” These kinds of questions are designed to elicit calculated answers.

I don’t really fault him. As an approximate war baby with parents who lived through the Great Depression and as someone who had relatives die in the Holocaust, he’d support FDR for his social programs and almost anyone who stood against the Nazis.

If he said Wilson, I’m sure some Mexican-Americans wouldn’t be too thrilled either.

I’m not sure HRC would pick Mandela if she wasn’t in front of a bunch of cameras.
