Curious

What is curious is that

– it is not the state’s refusal to reimburse our doctors

– it is not the lack of merit raises or cost-of-living increases

– it is not the lack of money for research, computing needs, classroom needs

– it is not the refusal of some doctors to treat us

– it is not the need to do the work of departmental secretaries, TAs and GAs for free

– it is not the experience of not knowing what to say to students who are deprived of the scholarships they counted on

that make us feel like our identity is professionals is being undermined.

No, it’s a possibility that we might get together as a union to do something about it.
