Hey, folks, did you hear? Ross Douthat is now in favor of reparations. Yes, he’s all “reparations instead of affirmative action,” but whatever. The important thing is that the idea is gaining ground and even arch-conservatives like Douthat begin to recognize its validity. This is good news.

It’s not even money it’s acknowledging that this happened in a tangible way that sticks.
That alone puts him well outside current conventional conservative wisdom with that editorial.

- Absolutely! This is something that still hasn’t been done, and I welcome the idea of reparations becoming less marginalized.
