Burying Lenin

Poor dumb Russians are still debating if it’s time to bury Lenin. I don’t mean metaphorically, I mean literally. Lenin’s mummified corpse is lying in a building in the Red Square, and the idiot fuckers have been unable to decide if it’s OK to lay the fellow to rest.

This has got to be decided soon because the Russians who were born after 1991 have no idea who Lenin is, so if he’s not buried now, younger generations wouldn’t know what to do with an identified, confusing dead body.

It’s very symbolic that at the center of Russia there is an unburied corpse.

On a related note, I love the fact that an entire institute was established in order to study Lenin’s brain.

Have you read China Miéville’s new book October, which is about the 1917 revolutions? I’d be very interested to hear the perspective of someone from FSU on it.

Still? Why? Putin doesn’t have a position on this? My brain is now writing very bad fiction about the undead (zombies, vampires, Snow White).

  Putin is afraid of upsetting the older people who right now vote for him 100%. He is waiting for them to die off, and this is being voices very directly, as in “It’s not long before the people who care about Lenin leave this world, and then we can remove him.”

      He’s like Trump, he wants to be liked. He needs his real support to be over 60%. Back in 2012 when people were protesting, he was so hurt, he couldn’t help crying during a public appearances. He later says it was because of the wind but yeah, right.
      
      He blames Hillary for those protests (although she had nothing whatsoever to do with them.)
