What Do You See?

This is an interesting picture quiz. The result was spot-on for me. I’m a plodder who can plow through any hardship and shave down any mountain by hacking at it meticulously and consistently.

  1. Very interesting! This is mine:

You have a uniquely creative personality!

The main things in life for you are your intuition, wisdom, joy, satisfaction and curiosity. The world for you is full of mystery, and is made up of so many different things, situations and people which are all constantly stimulating your imagination. Your life is painted in a multitude of beautiful colours, and you’re always looking at it through the prism of creativity. You can turn anything that happens to you into something positive, and you never look for simple answers to life’s questions.

You live your life in constant anticipation of experiencing something new and wonderful. However, at the moment you feel a lot of aggression inside. It’s possible that recently you’ve been experiencing a lot of negative emotions and have the desire to finally resolve something that’s been bugging you for a long time. You need to calm down and relax. The time has come to do something new. You have the ability to draw a huge amount of strength from yourself, whilst at the same time remaining a tender and loving person.

    This came with this pic:

I don’t know that I am this wonderfully creative or positive person, but I definitely have a lot of pent-up anger right now and am currently working to resolve something that’s been bugging me for a long time.

I got exactly the same response. Apparently first seeing the largest collective object in each picture (the faces, the man with binoculars, the whale, the crocodile) somehow makes you joyful, creative, and hostile.

    Go figure! 🙂

    • I guess I’m the only uncreative person around here.

Apparently, I have a very stable personality. I was just too ashamed to admit it, given how I pride myself on being a maverick rule-bender and double contrarian.

Plus the description of my results isn’t nearly as endearingly sweeping as the “uniquely creative” one – just your typical horoscopish “You sometimes X, but sometimes Not X” nonsense.

      • Perhaps you just process visuals differently than many people, or at least differently from the three of us (who btw all have a natural-science bend — two physicists and an MD).

  3. I got the creative result, too. Not entirely sure why a creative person needs to be hostile, but okay. I’m a science person, too.

You get the “stable personality” interpretation if you see the smaller individual objects in each picture first (apples, a knife, a dog, etc.).

In other words, if you notice the trees before the forest. 🙂

  5. I also “have a uniquely creative personality.”

Apparently I’m creative in the afternoon and stable in the evening. Who knew?
