Lettuce, tomatoes, balsamic, and a dollop of hummus on top. Two minutes to assemble.
I’m glad I finally abandoned the Soviet habit of making every salad insanely complex. Simple salads make much more sense for breakfast when you have no time to create a 15-ingredient thing.

Some of your pictures are quite good.

You realize your ancestors are shaking their heads sadly at your reluctance to spend hours every day chopping 15 different ingredients into tiny little pieces.

I’m a traitor to my culture. 🙂 But hey, Klara redeems me because she loves stewed cabbage and borscht.

I’m so happy you made me aware of this trend. Breakfast is always hard for me because I can’t have any of the regular breakfast foods. Cereals, eggs, pastries, toast – I can’t have any of that for health reasons. Salad for breakfast is a genius idea for me. Thank you!
