“Are you sure you really want the sitter who keeps going ‘oh, shit!’ all the time?” people are asking.

I think she must mean a sitter available at a moment’s notice, when you say “oh, shit” because you have a sudden obligation and don’t have a sitter, or your customary sitter is in the hospital, etc.
