“Do you have a good oh shit sitter?” asks a mother on Facebook with the help of autocorrect.
“Are you sure you really want the sitter who keeps going ‘oh, shit!’ all the time?” people are asking.
I think she must mean a sitter available at a moment’s notice, when you say “oh, shit” because you have a sudden obligation and don’t have a sitter, or your customary sitter is in the hospital, etc.
That’s possible but it still sounds hilarious.
I would never have thought of that meaning. In this age of so much machine-“corrected” and machine-generated text, one just gets used to mysterious automatic malapropism .
