Ye

I always loved saying “y griega”. It was my favorite part of the Spanish alphabet. I don’t want to let it go for some stupid “ye.”

Preach on sister! I’m still not on board with ch and ll not being single letters anymore and words starting with ch going between ce and ci (brrrrrrr) It was a craven surrender to technology of the moment that is probably no longer justified.

  2. So what’s going on? Is official Spanish being rewritten the way official German was some twenty years or so ago to “simplify” the written language (or the more probable, cynical reason: to make it easier for businesses to type on standard computer keyboards)?
