How is this a a bogus product? Sure, the description is cheesy, but it’s just a necklace with the outlined structure of serotonin. They make others, too, with the structure of caffeine and such. It’s a geeking-out-on-chemistry thing. No one who wears it actually thinks it contains serotonin. I had a professor who wore a caffeine one, because it was her favorite molecule.

It’s not just any chemistry. It’s a way of very loudly proclaiming a very suspect and even dangerous explanation for a common ailment. It’s right there with tattooing “vaccines cause autism” on one’s forehead.
