No Sunshine

Klara talked to her Dad on Skype and he sang her their favorite song “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone.”

After the conversation, Klara was singing, “No sunshine, she’s gone. . .” Then she turns to me and explains, “No sunshine. It’s not warm. I no need sun screen.”

    1. The song is sung by Bill Withers. Otis Redding might have done a version (though I’m not familiar with it) but the “classic” is by Withers.

  2. Clarissa is taking about that really soulful song that has the long interlude where the singer repeats the words “I know” for a good 30 seconds. I just love the song. 🙂

  3. This is the most adorable story ever. I never thought I would say this, but Klara is the first child I’ve ever come across who is even more adorable than my favorite little nephews.

(They’re big boys now, but I still remember when they were little.)
