Klara is ready to tackle the shortage of truck drivers:
This is in front of the church today.
Church is so great, folks. I had no idea. I’m not used to feeling restful on weekends but church really helps. There are older kids eager to play with Klara, there are vats of great coffee, and the food is very good. There is a huge wooded area for kids to play outside and a playroom for when it rains.
Service has been over for an hour but I still don’t feel like leaving. Maybe I should go have a third helping of dessert.
Great photo, as per your usual.
People bring food to your strange church?? Maybe it’s not too late for me to find religion!

The service is 2,5 hours, and that’s the short version. It would be cruel not to feed people after all that.

How can anybody sit through 2-1/2 hours of church?? No amount of food is worth that much torture. I’ll stay unsaved, and find somewhere else to eat.

Sit, eh? :-)))
We are Orthodox, my friend. We don’t sit.
But hey, even Klara doesn’t find it boring. It sounds hardcore but once you get into the swing of things, it’s easy.
The traditional service is actually 6 hours. And no sitting. It’s supposed to be physically difficult because the whole point is to overcome the limitations of the body.

We know Clarissa is really over the moon when she says she wants “a third helping of dessert” and not “they have an endless basket of meats.” I’m shocked they haven’t signed her up to contribute food yet.

I thought you were avoiding food and drink of any kind to maintain your willowy dried raisin figure. :-p

The dessert came after gigantic hot dogs and pork medallions, so I’m not deprived of meats either.
What I appreciate the most, though, isn’t the food but the kids. I’m exhausted from trying to provide enough sociability opportunities for my very sociable child. She was sad when the AC repairmen were done because she wanted to hang out with them more.
How, how did N and I manage to produce such a little people’s person?

I’ve eaten like a pig all my long life — as much as I want, anytime of day I want, and any type of food I want, no restrictions. Never been on any type of diet, and I never gain weight. Purely genetic luck, I guess.
Eating is definitely one of life’s big three great pleasures and needs!
