It feels so narcotic to be reading in Russian. Imagine what it must feel like to somebody who reads like she breathes not to read in her own language for almost a quarter century. I keep a detailed record of my reading, and it’s been about a dozen Russian books since year 2000. And they were mostly old re-reads.
