It would embarrass me if she didn’t. What kind of an uncaring friend wouldn’t bother?

That’s a mere poorly substantiated allegation but not science. For someone to qualify as a psychopaths a person would have to meet more traits as is displayed in your stated scenario.
But most people have a false view of what a psychopath is.
The most vital urgent and DEEP understanding everyone needs to RE-learn is that psychopaths typically are not physically violent crazies but always stealth predators (exploitative deceivers, which explains why the public has been fed a MISLEADING understanding of psychopaths). And then… the most vital urgent and DEEP understanding everyone needs to gain is that a network of manipulating psychopaths ARE governing big businesses (eg official medicine), nations and the world (the evidence is irrefutable as is obvious with the Covid Scamdemic). But that’s only ONE part of the equation that makes up the destructive human condition.
It is NOT just a matter of “draining the swamp” at the top and we’re back to our former (sick) “normal.”
The true, WHOLE, but “politically inconvenient” and “culturally forbidden” reality is more encompassing because “the swamp that needs draining” on a psychological and behavioral level is over 90% of people anywhere.
