The union held my email inviting everybody to the rally in support of Ukraine in moderation until 2 hours before the rally when it’s late for people to make any plans. This is the same union that fought the administration to prevent us from teaching in person.

Is your union an AAUP chapter? I have a very low opinion of that organization on my campus, the people who run it act as if they are the most purely principled and high minded beings in existence and they will blather on about how just and right they are while they stab you in the back.

It’s the faculty union that’s part of NEA. But I completely concur with your opinion on AAUP. Such hypocrites. Not on Ukraine, specifically, but everything else.
