I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, been a fan since the early 90s. Californication should be their theme song since they’re so associated with California, the video shows what a crapsack world the state is.
I hate the pronoun crap too, the majority of humans are content being male or female and declaring pronouns is dumb unless one is transgender or non-binary. I was born a female and like being female except for a tomboy phase as a kid, I had cool older boy cousins and it seemed like they had cooler stuff 😂

I love in a very “blue” part of CA. Nobody HAS to do anything for work. There is enormous social pressure, yes. But all you have to do is…..drumroll…..ignore it.

This is actually a very important point that you are making. People often confuse “I have to” with “I choose to do it because I’m afraid somebody will think poorly of me.” You don’t have to do this shit! Just don’t participate. I don’t, and have experienced zero problems.
