The best part is that the article completely disregards the context. Alcott said she must be a man because she was attracted to women but not men.

Oi. Now we are gonna dig through the archives of an era when women were legally and socially inferior, find every time a woman said “Gee, I wish I were a man!” and declare that they were, in fact, men. Because real women loved not having the full complement of rights and privileges so much…
Sigh.
Meanwhile, still searching for all the men in the same era wishing they were women so they could have their career prospects restricted, lose the right to vote, and own property on confusing and tenuous terms…
