No Victims

I want to share this video of the residents of Kyiv celebrating the birthday of their city:

In #Kyiv, #Ukraine, on Sunday residents celebrated the #KyivDay. This was after an attempted Russian swarm UAV attack on the capital city last night. And before another Russian aerial attack happening right now.#Russia simply can’t beat this spirit.

This is between two intense air raids. And you can see that the boys aren’t there. But nobody looks like a victim.

Of course, people who think disagreement is terrorism and thoughts are harmful will see this video as evidence that there’s no war going on.

Ah, Clarissa! When I was stationed in Western Europe with NATO forces in the 1980s, I wasn’t allowed to visit Communist-dominated Eastern European countries like Ukraine, so never gained a first-hand knowledge of their peoples.

Your frequent postings of how the Ukrainians are carrying on with their lives and celebrating the glory of their homeland despite being under constant savage attacks by Russian forces which many Western sources have been predicting for many months will “quickly overwhelm” the hopelessly outnumbered Ukrainian fighters (yet somehow that doesn’t seem to be happening!) are very heartwarming to this old retired NATO officer.
