I’m only now realizing that, of course, 90,000 words in Ukrainian take up a lot more space than in English. Because Ukrainian words are longer.

I’m surprised that people count words as words…. it used to be the case in journalism that word was five characters including spaces….
Good thing you weren’t writing in Finnish…. the book would be a doorstop.

Yes, they asked me for the number of signs with spaces, and it came up to almost 600,000. I was definitely not thinking like a publisher during writing.
