Made up Nations

All nations are made up. So are computers. So is dentistry. So is indoor plumbing. Air travel. Underwear. Cake. Houses. Shoes.

Many of the best things in life don’t arise spontaneously in nature. And we still love them and use them to survive.

Some nations are more rooted in geography and language than others. It doesn’t make them stronger than those that were cobbled together two minutes ago in another hemisphere than their roots are from. Look at the US. Look at Canada. These are massively successful nations that are completely made up.

“My nation is natural while yours is made up” is something that only absolute morons say.

  1. I want to slap every single person I hear making this argument. By the same logic, I have a God-given right to go to the Rhineland, with all my numerous family, and make a country there, and then claim that everybody else is interlopers. I mean, we can all trace back to a surname of “Rhein” for Pete’s sake. Clearly the place belongs to us. And I’m sure Scotland will be happy to turn over our ancestral lands to us, as soon as the ten million Americans of Scots extraction feel like moving on back there.

    Every country on earth is inhabited by right of conquest. There is no other.

  2. All nations are human inventions, it seems quite obvious, and they are not a recent invention, at least not in Europe and in the ancient Near and Middle East, but the product of lengthy historical processes.

    People gather around a creation myth in order to make sense of their being together in a certain place at a certain time, and that’s what makes them strong and beautiful at once, because it gives them meaning and purpose, which explains why people are ready to fight and die for the freedom of their nation and not just for the survival of their family and clan. A nation – as a concept – is the family as a social unit, only on a larger, grander scale.

    This also explains why the Left, the Woke and the Globalist elites are so dead set against families, borders and the very idea of nations: it’s an alternative ideology to their Globalisation myth. If you want weak men and deranged women reduced to the status of desiring machines, nationalism is a serious obstacle: you cannot easily turn someone who is willing and able to lay his life for his country into a mindless consumer forever spouting the ready-made slogans of the Alphabet people after adopting wholesale the outlook of the Big Four (Apple, Google, Meta, Amazon). But if he’s made to believe that there is no higher purpose to life than having access to a fast-food restaurant and to the latest videogames and music at the touch of a fingertip, then you have a slave for the rest of his life.

  4. As far as “made up nations” go, the latest Hollyweird predictive programming concerning “the Florida Alliance” sounds pretty good.

    Ron DeSantis needs to quit pretending he can save The American Empire and get back to Florida where his next act should be to establish The Florida Mint in preparation for a non-debt backed currency.

    Don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be able to get a tourist visa. 🙂
