DeSantis’s comment seems reasonable. I looked at the numbers and we did not have the massive crossing problem with Trump, and Biden could stop all this tomorrow the same way he started it the minute he took office. Does half the country not remember that he undid the remain in Mexico etc? It’s total gaslighting that we need more legislation to solve the current problem. This administration ignores any laws it doesn’t like, then continues to do as it pleases while lawsuits wind through the courts.

We do need new legislation but nobody is proposing it. Which tells us how much our politicians want to solve the problem.
As long as a) there’s no path to immigration legally and b) we continue to accept immigrants cases from people who are here illegally, people will try to cross over. There’s desperate need of legislation that would rectify this. Everything else is a circus act aimed at duping the gullible.
