This is pure comedy at this point, my friends. Pure, unadulterated comedy.
We have politicians who are so out of touch with the people they are supposed to represent that it’s funny. Until you remember that this has real-life repercussions.

Do something bold? Oh, I don’t know, maybe do something about the border? Nah, too obvious, and has a chance to actually work, so they’ll never do it.

Whenever Biden does anything about the border, we get a tsunami wave of additional migrants, so let’s not even joke about it.
I flew into Canada yesterday, and passed the long line of people waiting to go through immigration. The line was exceptionally non-diverse, as if chosen by Google AI. It was almost funny.

I’ve actually heard of Indians online saying they don’t want to go to Canada anymore because it’s turning too brown, haha. Good!
Now if only Trudeau does something about the fanatical sikh community there. These people are fucking crazy and a net negative to any country unfortunate enough to host them.

A good sign for India…. AFAICT that kind of rhetoric only happens in a country where the economy is rapidly improving.
I remember first hearing it from Polish people about the British Isles and even heard it a time or two from Ukrainians about Poland (before the invasion).

Exactly! When I first went to VN in 2007, I had nice young ladies begging me to take their glamour shots back to the US and find them a husband so they could emigrate. Awkward, because dang I would’ve done it too, but I don’t know a bunch of young single men I’d be willing to introduce to nice young Catholic ladies. Most of them were single for a good reason!
It’s not like that anymore. We’ve kept in touch, and watched the gradual shift from “I’ll do anything to go to America where I can get rich” to “You know, I think I’d like to visit America someday but the future is here”. And I am thrilled to hear it.

Oh yes. There was this whole thing about a Sikh family suing to have their kid bring a dagger to school because it’s important to their religion.
