Stop Standing Up

No, it’s because everybody is sick and tired of you inventing more and more categories of “victims” that justify your endless jumping up.

I support Israel but a little self-awareness from the American author of this meme wouldn’t hurt. I mean, maybe sit down already and you’ll notice that those evil “they” who keep coming for your invented victims are not real. But those who came for you are.

It’s almost as if some significant percentage of American Jews can’t imagine interacting with the world as anything but victims… and if Gentiles won’t step up and oppress them already, what do they have to do, beg? then they’ll preemptively frame everything else going on as a victimization so they can get in on some of that sweet sweet oppression…

How anyone on Earth thinks such disingenuousness is an attractive look is beyond me…

  2. Totally agree. And victim solidarity is wishful thinking on a planetary level done by those who enjoy romanticising suffering and disasters. It’s irrational and self-complacent.

[Just as an afterthought, Jewish and homosexual here. Never a victim, even when I was gay-bashed and Jew-baited. Head broken, lots of stitches, but still not a victim. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, face your enemies, make them run. At the end of the day, better die standing than live on your knees.]

This is line with people I’ve known that terrible things have happened to and that could call themselves ‘victims’…. they hate the label and do eveything to reject it.

By now, for good or ill, a person describing themselves as a victim makes them seem less not more sympathetic.
