Readers, I’m trying to change settings so that I don’t have manually to approve anonymous comments. Since WordPress is pushing people into the anonymous function in some way, I’m trying to make things easier for everyone.

Please leave an anonymous comment to see if this new method works.

It worked!!! Thank you so much for trying. I’m glad I found this option because too many comments were stuck in moderation for no reason.

…just bobbed all around the WP site trying to figure out how to sign out, so I could be anon. No luck.

That’s OK, we don’t need more anonymous people because it’s getting very confusing. But it’s very obnoxious what stupid website is doing and for no reason whatsoever. We had a great system that worked beautifully. And then WP started messing with it.

It’s why “software update” is one of the most loathed phrases in the English language.

I’m so glad I don’t need to approve comments every 20 minutes. I don’t want to be moderating anything. People should express themselves freely and I should not have to do manual approvals.

If the software works it is obsolete and needs to be updated.

Totally. People need to justify their salaries, I get it. And it’s easier to keep fussing with what’s there instead of a inventing something new.

Maintaining the status quo with cosmetic differences is pretty much what big companies do. I still dunno what fluid capital is supposed to be when companies are so inherently conservative.

Testing to see if anything works for me

I still get the option by clicking on the email icon to manually enter my name – I presume Clarissa gets to see this, but it’s my public email and no worries if it gets out there.

Ha! I am an exceptional pseudonymous high concept intellectual troll!

Feast upon my sesquipedalian story sordidness and vituperative verbal vichyssoise!

Why would I settle for such a thing as blasé and mediocre anonymity? 🙂
