The War on Traffic Signs

The war on homophobic traffic signs is proceeding apace in LA:

When people ask me if Ukrainians can go woke, I always say that no, they can’t because they have a sense of humor.

A sense of humor is urgently needed here in the US.

  1. U-turn signs are what?

    (baffled)

Is this like how we can’t prosecute black people because it disadvantages them? Do trannies make illegal u-turns at disproportionately high rates?

        1. It’s also the strongest unintentional self-own one could imagine. “We suffered brutal persecution in the form of having to drive around for 2 minutes to find a bar! That’s practically genocide! We might have never met and procreated! Oh, wait!”

    1. I have a sneaking suspicion that everybody in America who wanted to get to a bar – gay or not – has managed that task quite easily. It’s the people who want to abstain from bars that are struggling. 🙂

  2. If memory serves, I have an inkling that those road signs were put there to prevent or make difficult a criminal offense that in Britain used to be called euphemistically “kerb crawling” and that was all the rage throughout the !980s and most of the 1990s. Don’t know if it’s still a thing nowadays.

[Probably not; people use apps these days.]
