And that, my friends, is the whole point. Little by little, we all shall end up concluding that national politics is inconsequential. We have collectively engineered a situation where we are trying to prove to ourselves that the nation-state is dead.
It’s not a conspiracy. Nobody consciously decided it. It’s simply what we feel that we need right now. And we are giving it to ourselves.

Maybe so, maybe no. I am optimistic about many of the nation states that made up the American republic coming through this whole, and committed to a national, American identity.
But yes. Fedgov is a dead hand grasping zombie-like upon the once United Nations of America.
