That’s great! Crime has been defeated thanks to the Biden administration. If only everything were so easy.
But who knows, maybe it is.
BREAKING: Another huge Donald Trump lie explodes as new statistics from the FBI show a dramatic decline in violent crimes this past year — despite MAGA claims of an imaginary crime wave.
And it gets even better…
According to the data, murder and non-negligent manslaughter plummeted by close to 12% between 2022 and 2023, a drop that constitutes the largest in decades.
Rapes dropped by over 9% and violent crime overall dropped by 3%. Property crime dropped by 2.4%.
Yes, it definitely gets better and better.
Crime is significantly down, oil and gas are also down and trending even lower, inflation has stabilized, unemployment still pretty good by basically any world standards.
Maybe Biden was not this monster socialist that was going to break everything as many in this very blog predicted; and maaaybe just maaaybe neither is Kamala.

Crime is down but if you want to buy toothpaste from a CVS you need to ask an employee to unlock the cabinet to get it for you.
Look, I can believe murder stats because you can’t hide bodies but every other stat is rigged.
Do you read about how the Fed “revises” quarterly job numbers a few months after they’re published? It’s almost become a tradition now. And the errors are always in one direction.

The US is mimicking Eastern Europe of over 30 years ago! I remember when lots of stores kept everything behind a counter and you had to ask a sales person (who was not usually very fast or good-humored) to see anything. They might even hold onto to it while you looked and decided if you want it….
Progress! It can take strange shapes…..

Botecas in Lima were like this. Glass-case counter that you walked up to, you’d have to tell the clerks what you wanted to buy, they’d give it to you after you paid. It was good Spanish practice — couldn’t just buy the thing, and leave, had to actually come up with the word for it!

The standard shitlib response to anyone daring to notice the state of the country is the same as Groucho Marx’s to his wife when caught in bed with another woman: “Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?”

Close–Chico Marx says it in “Duck Soup.” We shitlibs may have problems, but we know our Marx Brothers.

Tangential, but this is breaking my heart:

Baldwin county is the safest county in AL. It’s a truly nice place to live, and I know because we have lived there. We are still, occasionally, getting rebate checks from the electric co-op because they are so goshdarned honest they have to send us the $3.26 to which we are legally entitled from the brief time we lived there. Everybody drives like there’s no rush. Not slow, but very respectful of the speed limits, and of other drivers. I’ve lived so many places where when you put your blinker on to change lanes, people stomp on the accelerator to pass. Not in Baldwin. People slow down, in the left lane, to make room for you. You can reach an impasse at a four-way stop, where everybody is trying to defer to everybody else. If I showed up at any of my regular shopping rounds (thrift stores especially) without my kids in tow, the shop ladies would ask about them. It’s a *nice* small town, not a failure-and-meth small town. They already have a large population of Mexicans and Guatemalans, who are gradually assimilating, generally quiet. There is NO surplus housing. Suddenly importing 1000 people from anywhere at all is a logistical nightmare. Where will they put them?
This is not going to go over well.

A mother of five. What an extraordinary person. And she’s absolutely right. It’s not about race for anybody except the far left. It’s just that inflicting such an enormous change and upheaval on people without any warning is wrong. It’s thousands of people just materializing in very small communities.
I talked to this in my interview today, actually. I was asked what Americans see as their #1 problem. I said this and the inflation, people’s savings being eaten up, the impossibility to save up or buy a house.
