Kindle Unlimited and I have finally met, and happiness ensued. I was waiting for them to start including more books in Spanish, and now they finally do, so it was meant to happen.

I have to say, though, I only recommend it for people who are naturally voracious readers. Otherwise, you’ll keep getting stressed that you aren’t reading enough to make membership a good idea. If you read like you breathe, though, it’s excellent.

I only subscribed last week, and I’m on my third novel through Kindle Unlimited already. And I have 8 more lined up, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

    I second this. I’ve had KU for several years, and it’s enabled me to discover many authors whose books I probably wouldn’t have purchased otherwise. It’s a fabulous service, but, as you say, it’s only cost-effective for voracious readers. KU breaks even at maybe 3-4 books per month and makes a lot of sense for people who read significantly more than that, especially nonmainstream stuff.

    I prefer reading real books not computer generated books. A Kindle device just does not compare to a folded paper back whose spine gets destroyed by my reading it.

    It’s not a great deal for authors, though. IIRC they get paid less for KU usage than for a book sale. But if you don’t sign up for KU, then you can’t get the circulation it offers.
