Only one commenter attempted to explain why he will vote for Kamala. In all caps, he told us that what convinced him is that she’s a mother who raised two children.

That commenter who said he’d vote for Kamala since she’s a mother is an idiot, she married their dad when the step kids were adults and never raised them. Most stepparents do their best to help raise their partner’s children, but I don’t get that vibe from Kamala. I doubt she had much to do with them except for them visiting during the holidays, just typical cold Anglo family values where the kids barely interact with their parents.
If I sound prejudiced against that sort of child rearing, it’s because the left-wing people I’ve had arguments with think it’s okay to go non-contact with family members who have different opinions. I couldn’t do that, most of my family is very conservative and my older brother is to the right of Genghis Khan. We shared a room until he joined the military and spend many holidays at his house, I couldn’t disown him even if he was a serial killer.
