Looks like I was right in that the whole drama about Biden supposedly giving Ukraine permission to strike air bases inside Russia was a nothing burger. All Biden did was reiterate the old permission that already existed and expanded its reach not at all.
I can’t understand how after observing the Biden administration for years people can still fall for these hoaxes. Truly, they never learn. The Biden administration has been consistently playing the de-escalation game which leads to more escalation from Russia. The persistent show of weakness and impotence on the part of the US that became extremely obvious during the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan is driving every stage of the escalation of the war. We will sit here, mewling about “WWIII” until even China realizes that it can act with complete impunity and will enter the war.
What else needs to happen for people to notice that the Biden administration lies? The truth is usually the exact opposite of what they say. Why is this still so hard to grasp?
People – generally speaking, and not just in the US, everywhere – don’t want to know. They want to believe.
Once you stop believing and start asking yourself questions all the time, you’ll start to see things in a different way. A lot of things that used to appear simple and uncomplicated will look complex and rather arcane, and vice versa.
You will then reproach yourself for having been so naive and you’ll realize why by looking at most people around you: they want to be comfortable and they want to be comforted.
But once you’ve left that world of fictitious comfort you can never go back: the world of knowing is harder but oh, so much more satisfying than the world of unknowing and you’d rather die a free man in the kingdom of truth than live a slave in the kingdom of lies.
