If We Can’t Blame America

New video shows Russian ICBM strike against Dnipro this morning.

It’s the first time in human history that an ICBM has been used in a war.

Incredible footage.

Strangely, there are no calls on Russia to stop escalating. If the US can’t be blamed, nobody cares.

We are drowning in anti-patriotism where every America-hating bastard has a point and has to be respected while we are always the bad guy.

We have no one to blame that the nation-state is dying. We abandoned it through anti-patriotism and eager subservience to those who despise us.

  1. If the US can’t be blamed, nobody cares.”

    Or Israel.

Killing the nation-state was already in the sights of those who wanted an organisation of united nations.

Utopians – of all colors: socialist, liberal, progressive, anarchist, – don’t like democracy in practice. And democracy can only really be put into practice at the nation-state level.

    1. It particularly bothers me that Americans both on the left and the right have adopted this manner of always blaming the US. America giving Ukraine permission to strike Russian air bases will “provoke WW3.” Russia is freed from all responsibility and isn’t even mentioned when it’s actually Russian aggression we are all fearing.

Tucker Carlson went so far as to say that this permission is “the most evil thing” he’s seen in his lifetime. 9/11 apparently is a lot less evil and doesn’t deserve even to be mentioned. When Americans die, that’s less evil than Russia suffering losses of military equipment and personnel which it won’t be able to use to attack the US. It’s unbelievable that this is now an OK thing to say. The opioid epidemic, COVID, open borders – none of this is as evil, according to Tucker, than a Russian airfield being hit. This is so unpatriotic my blood boils.

He could have said, instead, “I’m opposed to this decision because Russians are crazy and might attack us.” It’s the same opinion but not expressed in this viciously unpatriotic way.

      1. I forgot to add that you are absolutely right and there’s no democracy without a nation-state. People who don’t understand that are either idiots or liars.

      2. I can answer this one.

It comes from the view that a bear is going to do things a bear does. (Actual bear, not Russia as a bear). You don’t blame the bear for escalating even if you think what its doing is wrong. You blame the idiots who start poking the bear with a stick while laughing.

So in this case its not a case of anyone thinking that Russia might have taken this too far, its one of we are watching the US and NATO doing the equivalent of poking a bear with a stick and then wondering why its getting more and more angry and upset.

This is a stop poking the damn bear you utter morons moment. By all means send weapons and support to Ukraine for them to fight with if you really want, but stop escalating things to the point where there is a good chance for it to spill out onto everyone else in a really bad way.

        1. Your metaphor only works if a bear is sleeping quietly in his hidey hole, bothering nobody. But once the bear goes on a rampage, tearing through the village and leading other bears in an attack, the metaphor stops working.

The bear isn’t rampaging through the village because he was poked out of a peaceful sleep by the US. It’s raging because it’s a ferocious predator. The US or the NATO have zero responsibility for Russian warmongering. Zero, none.

We can’t escalate a war we didn’t start. That’s not in our hands.

  2. The Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS), a remarkable family of tactical ballistic missiles developed by the United States. These missiles, primarily used for precision strikes against high-value targets. ATACMS missiles are a crucial component of modern military capabilities, providing precision and reach. Their deployment reflects the ongoing evolution of warfare strategies and technology. The longest-range variants can fly up to 190 miles (300 kilometers).

The HIMARS system is also used to launch ATACMS missiles. The range of HIMARS rockets is shorter compared to ATACMS. HIMARS missiles typically have a range of around 70 kilometers. HIMARS launchers are highly mobile and can be quickly moved from their firing position.

While both systems serve different purposes, ATACMS stands out for its extended range and precision, allowing Ukraine to target deeper into Russian-occupied areas. ATACMS missiles could fundamentally alter the dynamics of the conflict due to their extended reach, while HIMARS provides essential artillery support. Each system plays a crucial role in Ukraine’s defense strategy.

In times like these, dialogue, diplomacy, and de-escalation are crucial. Hail President Trump to the rescue.
