A gossip article somehow floated across my newsfeed. I don’t know anything about these people but I was shocked to discover that the dude left the cute woman in the middle for the bald skeleton on the right and not vice versa.
The Jewish fellow must be rich for women to compete over him like that. The skeleton is unlikely to have functioning hormonal processes, so I can’t imagine her actually feeling attracted.

The skeleton has approximately 100 times as much money as he does, so it’s not that.
Perhaps he could not keep up with his wife sexually. Or maybe it’s because she had a baby; their separation was not long after that. Someone without functioning hormonal processes may be the perfect match for him.

The ex wife has a phd, is taller than he is, and just had a baby. So that probably explains his lack of attachment…
I actually know at least three deeply attached couples where the lady is taller than her husband. In every case, the dude is jacked, and obviously secure in his masculinity. This guy looks like a weenie, so a tall wife probably *does* make him feel insecure.

I saw that her pet name for him was “Short.” And she kept posting it publicly. Which is probably not the smartest thing to call a guy. This doesn’t excuse him, obviously, but it does explain things.

The skeleton is infertile and desperately *wants* to have a baby. She poached a guy with a proven track record of not shooting blanks.
I don’t follow celebrity gossip and don’t want to, and still, somehow, that one weaseled into my newsfeed.

The skeleton is Ariana Grande, she’s been in the news lately because she’s co-starring in the Wicked movie adaptation. I’m not familiar with her music or acting but my gay male friends think she’s awesome, there’s no accounting for taste.
I hit up Google and she’s been a vegan since 2013, which might explain her appearance. Veganism is unhealthy for young women, especially the sort of veganism popular in the US which barely uses fats and is little more than salads and raw foods. It’s highly unlikely she can get pregnant, unless she goes on a better diet but the damage may be permanent.

Ariana Grande is the only one of the these people that I’ve ever heard of before. Being strong willed enough for success can also lead to anorexia or other dysfunction in attempting to achieve some unrealistic body type.

I vaguely heard that she’s a singer but I wouldn’t be able to identify any of her songs. It’s not possible to know and do everything, and pop culture is an area where I’m a complete philistine.

Same here, I barely know what kind of music and movies are popular unless something comes across my feed about the people involved. I watch mostly older films and documentaries and I’m only exposed to pop music while in the car since my mother has a pop station on her presets.
What I’ve heard sounds very meh and bland, boy bands and these girl singers with whispery voices. The only contemporary music I like is indie rock on odd little labels, it’s not stuff that’ll be played on the radio and an acquired taste

Ariana Grande. In addition to being vegan (a significant portion of vegans use the ‘diet’ to hide an eating disorder from what I can tell) it was after her concert in 2017 in Manchester, England that a couple of Islamic terrorists blew themselves up, killing 22 and injuring over one thousand (and leading to no policy change whatsoever in the UK).
The trauma from that could also be a contributing factor of her appearance.

Ariana Grande is a very successful pop artist, and was a sex symbol before the extreme weight loss. By virtue of being with her, Ethan gets ‘higher status’, better show biz connections, etc.
Ariana Grande also has a history of wielding this power nefariously – she’s been the affair partner to many famous men and she even has songs about being a ‘homewrecker’. So Ethan is just a prop to fuel her insecurity. Ariana Grande worked closely with a known child rapist in her years as a child actress, so there is likely a very deep well of trauma and self-hatred.
