Is it okay if I’ve never heard of or want to watch anything at the Oscars? Anora sounds gross and I don’t like Wicked and most of the other films nominated sound like pretentious garbage, I’d rather watch a fun popcorn film like Morbius which never claimed to be art and is just a goofy vampire film.
I would rather watch Chinese Wuxia, Japanese samurai or Akira Kurosawa, documentaries or concert films than most Hollywood junk. I’ve found loads of cool movies on Tubi than anything advertised about the latest Hollywood movies, the other day we saw Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid which is a brilliant western and a fun movie. That film was a lot more fun and better than most of the junk films coming out of Hollywood

The Brazilian movie sounds interesting… I don’t know enough about Brazilian history to say how…. accurate it is.
But movies are essentially dead as an art form or in a long hibernation of stagnation.
I hardly watch movies anymore and mostly watch European, Asian and Latin American tv series. They have a bit of originality and spark and the people look like people rather than AI bots….
