And I thought Israel achieved a ceasefire. Peace! What was that all about if we are still paying? And paying an extraordinary lot. I support Israel but more military aid in peacetime? This sounds fishy.

Israel doesn’t want peace any more than russia does. Both are predicated on keeping citizens placated and silenced through endless existential conflict.
That’s also why Israel has been such a turn in the punchbowl regarding Ukraine. They are as terrified of russian defeat as Washington is.
