My flight to Germany was delayed by a day. The weather is perfect, so it’s not that.
Never again will I trust these “direct flights from St Louis.” Who delays by a whole day? Ludicrous

If the flight was directly to an EU country, you may be entitled to financial compensation. We had a major delay coming back from Europe last year and someone in line told me to be sure to file a delay claim with the airline. It took me about five minutes to fill out the form and we got 600 Euro each in compensation.

Definitely, I’ll file for compensation. I already missed my train to Hamburg.

The flight is to Frankfurt. Thank you, this really explains it. I have no idea why Lufthansa couldn’t just explain it normally. The only reason I even found out about the delay is because I’m a neurotic who googles things obsessively.

Lufthansa seems to be having some problems of late. I have heard lots of complaints from German friends about them not being as good or reliable as they were in the past.
